Memorandum For Distribution: 3rd SFOD-A

Effective 29 March 2025: The following memorandum will be used as a reference for Basic Leaders Course (BLC) for 1st BN, 3rd SFG.

Subject: Basic Leaders Course curriculum and points of performance..

Classroom setting: 

1. How to be able to have a respectful conversation with members of the unit while making a correction on behavior or uniform.
2. How to give accurate Situation Reports (SITREP) accurately and efficeintly.
3. Be able to state what the 4 Pillars of Leadership look like in Arma Reforger (Competence, Character, Commitment, and Courage).
4. Be able to give a 10 minute class to senior leadership of 3rd SFG over a topic that is often used in 3rd SFG (I.E, Battle Drills, Weapon fundamentals, Squad movements, React to Contact.) 

Field Training: 

1. Successfully lead a fire team to attack an objective while demonstrating proper communication to higher elements and communicating troop composition and ACE reports as needed. 
2. Demonstrate the proper use of a base of fire team while coordinating with a secondary element on the use of lift fire or shift fire. 

Purpose: in order to establish a baseline of NCO’s that are confident and capable of executing the commander's intent during operations and maintain a standard when in unit training.
